How long does it take for push messages to be received by our customers?

Push messages usually arrive in 20-30 seconds, but delivery times can vary because of how Android and iOS handle notifications.

If a user is on their phone or has the card open, the message might not show up right away, and this is controlled by Apple and Google, not us.

To see if a message was received, check the 'Latest Updates' on the customer's card to confirm message receipt.

Why aren't my customers receiving push messages? (Common reasons for non-delivery)

Here are some reasons why your customers may not receive push messages from you.

  1. Card Not Installed: Push messages require the card to be installed in Apple Wallet or PWA (for Android devices). Check the 'Card Status' under your 'Customers' section. If it's 'not installed', you'll need to send them their unique card link to install it.

  2. Google Wallet Limitation: Currently, Google Wallet doesn't support push notifications. However, messages will appear in the 'Latest Updates' section on their card. Instead, Android users can install as a PWA instead.

  3. Automatic Updates Off: On iOS devices, customers may not receive updates if they've turned off 'Automatic Updates'.

  4. Push Notifications Disabled: For Android devices using PWA cards, customers might have disabled push notifications.
